Smart Film is low voltage electrical switchable adhesive film applied to existing interior glass partitions or exterior windows. Perfect if you already have the glass and just want to upgrade.
How smart glass works
Film is applied to the glass area. When voltage is not applied, the suspended particles in the smart film are randomly organized, blocking and absorbing light from passing through the window (opaque mode).
When voltage is applied, the suspended particles align and allow light to pass through the window (transparent mode).
By varying the voltage, the direction of the suspended particles changes, controlling the tint of the windows and the amount of light transmitted. PDLC smart glass windows can essentially be manually or automatically “tuned” to precisely control the amount of light, glare and heat passing through.
A Perfect Solution when installing standard window treatments isn’t possible.
Smart Glass Film is a perfect solution to provide privacy and light control for hard-to-cover windows as well as trianglular or odd shaped windows where standard motorized window treatments can’t be installed or would have to be ‘fixed’ in the closed position.
Smart Glass Film offers the privacy of frosted glass with advantage of clear visibility when privacy is not necessary.
