Consider...

Hunter Douglas is a leader in new manual operating systems for their roller shades, however for basic suns screen roller shades we recommend alternative suppliers who use the same basic hardware, the same fascia systems and metal chain controls at a budget price.

Hunter Douglas Designer Screen Shades can do more than just soften your view of the outdoors; ours invite the outdoors in.  Our design Screen Sghades are available in a wide range of opacities to bring in just the level of light you want and they protect valuable furnishings from harmful UV rays too.

Unlike other manufacturers, Hunter Douglas Designer Screen Shades are available to cover larger expanses with a single shade where others may require multiple shades to cover the same area with additional controls.

Dual Roller Shades offer two shades in one cassette, choose a light filtering screen shade for light control (front fabric) and a blackout shade for the rear fabric.  Perfect for bedrooms or those rooms that are exposed to intense sun where heat gain is excessive.

What is Openness? Openness refers to the weave density of the screen fabric affecting the degree of visibility, privacy, glare control and UV blockage,.

HIGH Openness %

  • Better Visibility
  • Allows more natural light, blocks less UV
  • Provides less privacy

LOW Openness %

  • Less visibility and see-through
  • Allows less light through, blocks more UV
  • Creates more privacy

COLOUR AND VISIBILITY Colour is a key factor with screen shades affecting view -through, glare and energy efficiency.

LIGHT Colours

  • Provide a softer view while preserving natural light
  • Allow less heat gain for greater energy efficiency
  • Reflect light into your room while still blocking harmful UV rays

DARK Colours

  • Provide a crisp view-through
  • Offer superior glare control
  • Absurd light and heat for energy efficiency
