From roller shades and soft fabric sheers to custom shutters and innovative and energy efficient honeycomb shades, Shades of Home offers a diverse range of smart high-end products and you may not have realized that these high quality designs even existed.

More over, everything we sell is designed and assembled in Canada or the US to the highest industry standards.


1985 – Shades of Home opened as a shop-at-home service in Etobicoke.

1990 – Migrated to Oakville and began serving the local Oakville, Burlington and Mississauga markets along with my existing Etobicoke clients from my new base.

2002 – Opening my first design showcase store in Old Bronte Harbour and began offering soft window treatments as well as the complete line of Hunter Douglas, Levolor, Shade-O-Matic, Sol’r, Sunglow, Elite functional window treatments

2010 –  Opened a sales office in Etobicoke to stay closer to my Etobicoke and Misissauga

2012 – Opened the showroom in Waterdown on Dundas Street East, Ontario to help service the growing needs of this community and outlying areas.

2013 – With a growing local business I moved my showroom to a larger space on Speers road in Oakville in 2013

2016 – New Showroom opened Jan 4th, 2016 at 900 Caledonia Road in the heart of the Castlefield-Caledonia Design and Descor District.
